Awesome mexican food great quality, nice family friendly environment.

The food was exceptional. Salsa bar is awesome, I had pickled cactus and loved it. Can't wait to go back.

My server Mauricio went far beyond, good prices, good cocktails and friendly staff. I love it.

Food was ok. My server was awesome he took care of us really well my husband and I ordered some drinks the guy at the bar made us a delicious Margaritas he was under pressure despite of that he works fast he has a v8 engine 😉 looks under new management the best Mexican Food in Lexington

I and my family have been two nights in a row. I think we very much enjoyed the time together great hospitalized ,fòod,fun,football on some great big TV's. I hope that you and your family have a great time together like my family do.

Nice atmosphere in the smaller bar area. The larger room was a little too open for my liking but was very busy; a good sign. The food was good and reasonably priced. Friendly and courteous employees. Definitely will visit again..

Friendly service, good food prep

I don’t know what has happened to this place in recent months but my last 2 experiences were horrible and I will never return. The worst, most rude staff ever! We use to enjoy going there twice a week and have now switched to a Mexican place in Gilbert where everyone is friendly. Bad staff ruins businesses and sadly i foresee this happening bc when I asked for the owners number or email to contact him about both experiences we had we were told “he travels and doesn’t concern himself with how the restaurant is being ran these days”...well if you ever wonder why you’ve went from a booming business to no customers you should ask your managers and staff

Guest allowed to enter into restaurant without mask even tho it is mandatory in SC. Employees are wearing mask. Oh well!

Very good! The salsa here is just fantastic compared to most restaurants that offer all you can eat chips and salsa once you're seated. Cilantro and onion just make it incredible. On to what we ordered: come here at lunch when the prices are really good, with lunch specials ranging from 5 to 8 dollars, specials that will fill you up. I ordered special 22 - 1 beef tostada and 2 chicken enchiladas with green salsa on top. The enchiladas and tostada were very good, though the tortillas for the enchiladas was just kind of... meh. My parents ordered lunch specials 18 (roasted meat burrito with white sauce) and 4 (burrito, taco, and beans substituted for rice) and loved their meals. Good service, good food.

We decided to try this place on a Sunday night. The hostess greeted us and took us directly back to a table. From there, the service was lacking. Our waitress was impatient and rude. They didn't have what I wanted available -- and apparently had never had it -- even though it is on the menu (posole rojo). She stood over me while I looked at the menu to choose something else, even though I said "I will need a minute." Once our food arrived, she rushed us through dinner and even started cleaning, sweeping, and mopping around us. The saving grace of this place was the food, but no matter how good it was, I will think twice before coming here again.

A Crown Jewel of all Mexican Restaurants here in Lexington. It has the best beans, best rice, and best tacos and even extra salsa spices to choose from! The Servers are VERY Friendly and Nice, and everything there is done pretty quick with great food.

Have eating here twice since new restaurant has opened. Food is so much better. Food has flavor and looks good. Please keep up your standards.

Great tasting authentic food. You also receive your food in a timely manner. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We will be goin back and enjoying another meal. Great bang for your Buck!!!

The food was good but I was disappointed with the Fajita Texacanas it mostly had bell peppers and onions and not hardly any meat and for $15 I would expect more meat. So I was very disappointed San Jose their Fajitas has a lot more meat so from now on I will be going there.

Always have a good experience here. Food is fast and delicious. Servers are nice and attentive. The chef has a great menu that is not your typical numbered Mexican restaurant menu. Margaritas and Beer is good also.

Changing my post to 5 stars. Had a mu h better experience this time around. The food was good, the decor was upgraded and looked really great, and the service was very good.

Stellar Service! The food is fresh and all around fantastic. I had the number 13 beef taco and Beef Burrito, they we're hot and tasty, the rice is to die for. I also love there salsa and queso a must have. Highly recommend especially compared to San Jose. El Jimador stands above the rest and shows true talent.

Recently dined here for the first time and can honestly say it will be my last. Food was fine but came out wrong so the manager came over and was very rude about the whole incident. I’ve never been spoken to that way in my life especially when the kitchen/waiter were to blame. Not everyone likes onions so when they specifically ask for NO ONIONS you shouldn’t treat your customers poorly and expect them to eat a ruined dish bc you don’t want to remake it the way it was asked to be prepared in the first place. Worst customer service ever so I will continue to take my business to El Paso where the food is always right and half the price and the wait staff is pleasant

It was ok. Service better than the food

First I have to say this restaurant has a very pleasing atmosphere inside.when we first entered at first I thought the place was closed because of construction but finding out it's actually an expansion. Luis our waiter was very helpful and very polite. Not many restaurants when you enter makes a big impression like this. I'm very glad that we discovered this restaurant today.

I have dinner here often. I like the menu which is more authentic then other Mexican Restaurants. The table side guacamole is great.

Very good! I had a huge veggie burrito that was excellent. The menu is larger than the typical Mexican restaurant so be ready for something different. Maria provided exceptional service also!

We love Mexican food and decided to check out El Jimador .... The interior was pretty nice but that’s about it .... Margarita was way too sweet and didn’t taste like there was any tequila in it . Food was honestly not tasty ! And we had some hopes for dessert but unfortunately “fried ice cream “ came not fried , instead it was covered with some sort of chips , had no whipped cream and the portion was very small . Would not come back !

We visited this local Mexican restaurant because a few weeks ago because it was conveniently located on Augusta highway in Lexington. Because of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, we decided to dine outside rather than inside. This restaurant was offering indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was all wearing gloves and face masks. The restaurant also enforces the 6 foot social distance between customers. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we arrived. Our waitress was very attentive and the food was seasoned very well. The reason why I'm given them a 3 star rating was because they don't have enough fans outside, and they have an issue of flying insects (flies).

Lovely food ! Got their #24 on the lunch menu, it cost me $7 (not including taxes) and I got a decent sized plate that was fresh and hot and good ! *ate it within 2 minutes hence the no photos

Large menu and selection. Prices are modest and staff friendly and helpful. Food is hot and delicious and not greasy, unlike some other Mexican restaurants in the area. Excellent nachos too. Will now be returning as a regular in the future.
